CV Unlocked is a trading name of Bizon Tech, a company registered in Ontario, Canada. Bizon Tech values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the CV Unlocked website, client portal, and related services.

01. Information We Collect

Personal details you provide (including: name, email, phone, CV, career goals). Application data (including: job descriptions, tailored resumes, cover letters).

02. How We Use Your Information

• To apply for jobs on your behalf.
• To optimize resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.
• To manage your client portal and job tracker.
• To communicate with you about services, billing, and support.

03. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or rent your data. Information is shared only with:

• Employers or recruiters during job applications.
• Trusted third-party providers (Stripe, Paystack, Zoho) to deliver services.
• Google, if you connect a Gmail account, solely to enable the email access features described above and governed by Google’s own privacy practices.

04. Data Security

• All personal information is stored securely with restricted access.
• Files shared in your client folder are private and not visible to other clients.
• We use SSL encryption and secure payment processors.
• Gmail access tokens are encrypted at rest and are retained only while a Gmail connection remains active. Tokens are permanently deleted when you disconnect Gmail or revoke access.
• Because we use cloud infrastructure providers, your personal data may be processed or stored on servers located outside your home country. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such processing meets applicable data protection standards.

05. Your Rights

• You can request access to your personal data.
• You can request deletion of your data, subject to legal and service obligations.
• You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

06. Gmail / Google Account Access

If you choose to connect a Gmail account to your CV Unlocked client portal, we request permission to:

• Read the contents of that Gmail inbox (including Sent, Drafts, Spam, and Trash) so your assigned associate can track employer and recruiter correspondence related to your job applications.
• Send emails on your behalf from that Gmail address, to manage application follow-ups and communication with employers.

This access is granted through Google’s OAuth authorization process and only occurs after you explicitly authorize it. Your Gmail access token is encrypted at rest and is never stored or transmitted in plain text. Only the CV Unlocked associate or team member assigned to your account can access your connected Gmail data — access is automatically revoked if you are reassigned or if your associate account is deactivated.

You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access settings, or by disconnecting Gmail from within your CV Unlocked portal. CV Unlocked’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

07. Cookies

Our website may use cookies for functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

08. Data Retention

We keep client records for as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal obligations.

09. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, consistent with Bizon Tech’s place of registration. If you are located outside Canada, your personal data may still be processed in Canada or other jurisdictions as described in Section 04, and by using our Services you consent to this processing.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or through your portal.
