PAVRO Recruitment has partnered with a leading global SaaS company in their search for an incredible HR Advisor to support operational needs for their business in Canada and the US!

This is a 12 month contract role (part time 20 hours/ week).

A day in the life:
• Help establish and grow the company culture in Canada and the US
• Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leave, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems
• Provide day to day support/help to the General/Regional Manager/s to help them achieve their people goals
• Manage the talent acquisition and recruitment/interview processes, to include building relationships with appropriate hiring partners in market and exploring future hiring strategies
• To conduct employee onboarding and help plan training & development, analysing training needs, developing training curriculum, and assisting in delivering training courses
• Update and keep employee records in check
• Help assess employee engagement and evaluation
• Administering various employee benefits programs, such as holiday scheme, retirement schemes, etc
• Support and develop the annual compensation benchmarking and performance review process across the business
• Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, create and submit relevant reports to senior management/Group HR
• Suggest ways to improve employment policies, processes and practices; and assist in developing and implementing them
• Gain experience in US HR matters
• Spearhead engagement initiatives across North America.

About you:
• Previous experience working as an HR Generalist with in-depth Canadian ER knowledge and of crafting general policies and procedures
• Preferential knowledge for North American experience also (or at least a desire to learn)
• A passion for recruitment with previous hiring experience within these markets and ability to develop appropriate hiring strategies
• Ability to scale new teams and manage the talent acquisition function for both Canada and the US
• A desire to build strong working relationships with your colleagues and want to make a difference
• A willingness to roll up sleeves and learn new skills
• Hands on experience in using MS Office, databases and HRIS systems
• Confidence in meeting new people and solving problems with outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Organisational and time management skills
• A desire to work in a busy, fast paced, fast growing company
• High ethical conduct
• Willingness to travel to the USA
• Some understanding of US legislation – especially: California, Florida, Chicago, DC area/Virginia
• comfortable expanding their knowledge if we continue to hire in different states.
• Experience working across multiple time zones- this role will report to the APAC HR Leader but will get support from HR team members in the UK.

Mostly remote work with the need to come to the Toronto office as needed for teambuilding events.
