Are you a freelance real estate law clerk and/or legal assistant looking to work remotely. This position would be based on either on a flat fee based on a per file basis or hourly rate. You would be required to work independently. You must have your own computer.

Qualification:

Your primarily role will be to manage and complete real estate purchase, sale, mortgages and refinancing transactions from start to finish with minimal supervision including:
• Familiar with Unity, Closer, PC law, Cosmolex and Teraview
• Other apps such as Dropbox and as well as remote assistance/access application including Teamviewer and Zoom.
• Handle Title and Off-Title Searches.
• Handle bookkeeping and record-keeping tasks as assigned.
• Communicate professionally with clients, brokers, lenders and other law office.
• Manage residential real estate transactions (purchase, sale, refinance) from start to post-closing.
• Manage commercial real estate transactions (sale, asset and purchase).
• Coordinate and manage a high volume of files and deadlines.
• Organize and maintain both physical and electronic legal file and/or storage system.
• Arrange execution of all required closing documents.
• Preparing reporting letters
• Maintain filing and storage system.
• Ability to review title abstracts and draft requisition letters.
• Communicating with clients, lenders, real estate agents and other law offices.
• Managing incoming phone calls, faxes and emails.

Some residential real estate transactions will include condominium, waterfront properties, farm, rural and commercial Preferred a real estate law clerk with 5+ years’. Only those in Ontario will be considered and with availabilities during the day from 9am-6pm.
