Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, and Tennessee. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. What will you do as a Western NC Program Director?
• As the Western NC Clinical Services Program Director, you will be responsible for daily operational oversight and performance of teams providing community-based services. The Program Director will lead a team focused on supporting youth who either have a history of emotional and behavioral health problems, placement instability, are in an unstable placement, or meet specific criteria indicating a high risk for out-of-home placement.
• A typical day as a Program Director will include providing guidance and support to staff, assigning referrals, and coordinating with referral sources and key stakeholders. As a Program Director, you will work a flex schedule to ensure that you are able to meet the needs of your key stakeholders and provide support as needed to your staff. This is a hybrid position, and the leader must live in western NC in the Asheville/Hendersonville area.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
• Master’s degree with active full or provisional licensure status in NC as one of the following: LMFT, LPA, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist
• 3 years of work experience as a high-performing individual contributor in a related field
• Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short-term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions
• Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
• All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
